This is the costume I wore at the Elf Fantasy Fair last saturday. Never made a mask like that before so it's far from awesome (especially up close lol) but for a first try I was pretty happy with it.
Unfortunately it was not waterproof, or at least the stuff that held the cloth against the mask wasn't (mask itself was fine) and more unfortunately it rained pretty much the entire day, so it broke down after 30 minutes >< All the work I put into it for naught! It better not rain next year! So yeah I was pretty pissed about that but I would've taken the mask off after a while anyway. With these kind of masks vision is pretty limited and there were sooooooooooo many people. Way more than last year it seemed.
I had someone with me but even so, I could only see what was a few feet in front of me, but because everywhere you walked you were so packed onto everyone else I just didn't feel safe and I didn't want to step on anyone's robe/cape/dress or bump into wings and weapons.
Not gonna be doing that next year! XD Next year will be simple! Will most likely go as Tulio from Road to Eldorado and
will be going as Miguel so we can stalk people with our map and troll them. Should be fun and easy to do.
Either way, photo was taken shortly before I left for the Fair but I hadn't put my boots on yet so lol, socks. Was supposed to come with an old sabre as well but it wasn't comfortable to wear.
The necklace with the mink skull and coyote claws is made by
, I bought it from her years ago as a commission. The uh... I think its called the zygomatic bone, is broken. That's Jiro's handywork lol, he threw it off the shelf one day. Bad sparrow XD
There were kids who called me a 'dinosaur woman'. I lolled. XD
